Επτά μόλις χρόνια πριν (πάντα θα μας κάνει εντύπωση το νεαρό της ηλικίας του) το YouTube βγήκε για πρώτη φορά στο διαδίκτυο και πραγματικά μας δίνει ξανά και ξανά την αίσθηση ότι ήταν από πάντα.

Χτες λοιπόν το YouTube είχε γενέθλια... Τι σημαίνει όμως αυτό για το διαδίκτυο; Σύμφωνα με την Alexa, το YouTube βρίσκεται μόλις στην τρίτη θέση της παγκόσμιας κατάταξης, πίσω από το Google (Hello dad!) και το Facebook.

Κάθε λεπτό που περνάει δημοσιεύονται 72 ώρες βίντεο (ναι καλά διαβάσατε), ενώ πέρυσι τέτοιες μέρες μόλις 48 (μόλις...). Χιουμοριστικά στο blog τους αναφέρουν τρία παραδείγματα βίντεο του τι σημαίνει 72 ώρες το λεπτό (ναι, το λεπτό...)!

72 ώρες βίντεο το λεπτό = 61 φορές η τελετή του βασιλικού γάμου της Αγγλίας.
72 ώρες βίντεο το λεπτό = 841 φορές το Bad Romance της Lady Gaga.
72 ώρες βίντεο το λεπτό = 1194 φορές το Nyan Cats (ασχολίαστο).

This last year was especially big for us. We helped bring more great channels to YouTube and we redesigned the site, making it easier for you to discover, watch and subscribe to the videos you love. And all 800 million of you all over the world have shown us we’re on the right track by increasing subscriptions 50% and watching over 3 billion hours a month.
